As a media student, we are expected to be creative in various different ways. Just as creativity explores different parts of your own
imaginative mind. Creativity starts with imagination, like thinking of an idea, and then creating it.
To some, creativity is a limitless idea. Linda Naiman said, "Creativity involves two processes: thinking, then producing." She believes that creativity is all about originality, and that it all comes from a thought. To some theorists, creativity is about being original, but there are some set rules, codes and conventions that are to be stuck to. Robert. E. Fraken said " Creativity is defined as the tendency to generate or recognize ideas". To be able to recognise idea's, there must be set rules that an audience can recognise, otherwise some people wouldn't understand your product.
My creativness:
Last lesson our class played a game of consequences to introduce the idea of how creative we can be as individuals. Me and a group of 3 other people created a sentence by writing a sequence of adjectives, verbs and nouns, without knowing what each other had written down, by folding the paper. This is the sentence we created: 'The incredible house hopped the dead Anthony.'
This proved quite tricky with me, as I didn't fully know how to use Photoshop, so at first my picture was a series of pictures, instead of just one. Zak showed me how to use the basics of Photoshop and I eventually created this image.
I enjoyed the game of consequences, as it was a bit random and didn't make total sense. I enjoy expressing my creativity in different ways and creating new idea's that I haven't tried before.
This is my result from this sentence:

I thought this was a good representation of my creativity.
Rachel you need to finalise your definition of "creative" with the help of referencing the theorists. I also want you to debate the whole needs rules/doesnt need rules, to be creative concept. In the tasks I set you these rules were gradually reduced, how did that help of hinder your "creativity"?
